SCIENCE: Water pressure We happened to have this kit which is really really fun for the kids Made a shepherd bag (because of David) and the kids were just elated! Good thing my machine has a presser-foot-free function. Easier on them. PRESCHOOL Button snake iPad: ABC Sketch Pad (quite a good practice) free Bible Verse Copywork We used an iPad app to teach on the harp (David plays) and listen to the sounds of them. (now for $1.99, I got it for free) We also went on youtube to see the real harps. More Math additions and subtractions We read the Rag Coat and did some FIAR activities on it (not completed yet) and we read the Cloak for the dreamer along with it (even though that's on shapes) Learning about the Appalachia Mountains and the states it runs through. Other read-alouds this week. I really like the Seven Silly Eaters. So funny!!

PRESCHOOL Worksheets on shapes (yeah, she's happy) Winter fun  (sizes) And we learnt to write Chinese for big, medium and small The littlest played with stickers that came in the mail (good use of resources!) And some other fun games in her box. I like the switch a few things in box idea. Works well! We did more winter fun MATH: addition and subtraction ENGLISH Got a sight word bingo  (we used the primer) Scholastic has some great printables! SCIENCE : Mixing Water We mixed laundry soap, shampoo, jell-O, flour, soy sauce, sugar and oil and we recorded which is lighter than water Then we attempted to mix them up and realize only oil can't really mix with water The very yucky everything mix (the kids wanted it) CHARACTER FIRST! : Generosity realizing that I am a trustee of what I have and using everything for its best purpose. We learnt how the pelican gives and gives and gives. We watched a video on how the pelican ate fish. WE made a pelican origami We recycled stuff (since using things to the best purpose also means recycling) We did some worksheets And we used a recycled can to do some gravitational Science project. Proverbs 30:5 Bible Note book on Jericho and we pulled out a verse we memorized before Bible Notebook on Samuel MATH: Shapes, using a iPad geoboard I love this storybook on shapes ! It's interactive and fun! (and still free!) SCIENCE We did water cycle, talking about vanishing water and put a shallow dish out and it took 2 days for it to evaporate. That's his own idea of the water... CHINESE We got some nice resource here  and it has computer review games ART We used I Luv Drawing Animals , but didn't do it on the iPad, but just drew it on paper
