2020-2021 Rome to Reformation Week 27

 This week we learnt about Medieval India. The highlight was...we made Naan . =) I think I like naans better than chapatis, that's why. Always good to put things into the time-line and see where things are! We did a lapbook component on the Gupta Empire  The girls chose some questions and answers for the trivia envelope. We also watched a video of saris and I told them the story of how I learnt to wear the sari and the classical Indian dance for one performance in Secondary School. That was fun. Last day we talked about Christopher Columbus and started this lapbook component to be filled in later. Science We learnt about the space rocks. It was quite fun! Last week we actually watched the Mars Rover landing . It was really cool! We are "reading" Dangerous Journey through here . It is quite fun, though old. For 1 John, we are watching this series as a family, and I did bible study worksheets for the girls. I found it to be very inspiring and generated some discussions. 8th...

A Day in the Life of the Su's

September 8th 2015 6:00am Big Bro and Big Sis woke. Self work. Piano practice. Reading. And goodness knows what else they did. (Lil Sis, Daddy and I were sound asleep of course) 6:30am Baby Sis came into our room and said she needed to use the toilet. That woke ME up. After that, she joined BB and BS to do goodness knows what they did outside. I read my bible, checked emails that came in the night. 7:18am Mommy made breakfast and lunch for daddy (Baby Sis helped out with the egg) At the same time, Big Bro read a chapter of " Carnivorous Carniva l" (A series of unfortunate events) to me. 7:34am Breakfast. Today we had no bake granola, a new attempt Mommy did the night before. Having breakfast with daddy is a luxury many children do not have. We are blessed. 7:46am Facetime with grannies in Singapore. That is another luxury not every child has and we treasure these times. Then "bye bye" to daddy! 7:55am Clean up. Get ready ...
