September 8th 2015 6:00am Big Bro and Big Sis woke. Self work. Piano practice. Reading. And goodness knows what else they did. (Lil Sis, Daddy and I were sound asleep of course) 6:30am Baby Sis came into our room and said she needed to use the toilet. That woke ME up. After that, she joined BB and BS to do goodness knows what they did outside. I read my bible, checked emails that came in the night. 7:18am Mommy made breakfast and lunch for daddy (Baby Sis helped out with the egg) At the same time, Big Bro read a chapter of " Carnivorous Carniva l" (A series of unfortunate events) to me. 7:34am Breakfast. Today we had no bake granola, a new attempt Mommy did the night before. Having breakfast with daddy is a luxury many children do not have. We are blessed. 7:46am Facetime with grannies in Singapore. That is another luxury not every child has and we treasure these times. Then "bye bye" to daddy! 7:55am Clean up. Get ready ...

We have tried audiobooks with the children when they were younger and it did not work, especially in the car, on the highway. It was too noisy for them to actually understand what was being read. This time to our Maine trip, we tried it again and I was so surprised by how much they (and us) like them! We borrowed ours from the library (electronically, so we didn't even have to step out of our house to do so) so they are free! There are also some books that you can get for  free  online. This time this  book  was our favorite. A.A. Milne wrote a delightful book about THE bear. The performers were so talented and we enjoyed every bit of the British accent. =) We actually finished the whole book (and repeated some chapters). Our trip took us 12 hours to and fro and also some many hours in between when we go on day trips.
