2020-2021 Rome to Reformation Week 11

Bible This week we memorized Rom 12:4-5. And we read more about the 1st century church and the missionary journeys of Paul. These videos really helped us understand Acts better. We made these pages from the Project Passport (Ancient Rome) . I cannot recommend more highly about a homeschool product than this one for Ancient Rome. Also, I felt that the way My Father's World curriculum taught us to read the passages of Paul's journeys were very well done too. Next week we will take a break and then go on to Middle Ages! For Lil Sis, she read about the story of Manna, 10 commandments and the spies to the promiseland. She is getting better at her reading. I really really like the Bible Reader. It is such a great way to teach the kids reading!! HISTORY We learnt about the Medieval monks and monasteries and the Norsemen(Vikings) Using playdough to write their names in Viking Runes. We started reading The Door in the Wall. And we learnt chess from this app ! =) It was real fun. We got it for free. Now it's $4.99. LANGUAGE The older kids continued on Rod and Staff English.
