 This week we learnt about the seizure of Fort Ticonderoga, Battle of Bunker (Breed's) Hill, 2nd Continental Congress, Attack on Quebec, Battle of Moore's Creek Bridge, and Thomas Paine. We compared the 2 continental congress. We watched some videos on the battles. For Science we learnt about stems and did an celery stem experiment Start 30 mins 50 mins 1h 30 mins Overnight 9th GRADE Big Sis continued to learn about the Eastern Europe. 11th GRADE Big Bro took another SAT prep test. I learnt that I can actually tell him to zoom in practice on the topics he needs more help with by looking at his test prep (in Khan). He has about 5 months to go and we will do a test prep a month.

 We are back from vacation! Also this week the younger girls had their 2nd COVID vaccine shot and took a day off to rest. We learnt about Paul Revere and the Minutemen. With the Battle of Lexington and Concord, we started learning about the American Revolution and the battles. For most of the battles, we will watch short videos on them. Big Sis learn about Poland and Hungary and made Chicken Paprikash for us. So delicious. PREPPER We are rowing "Jessie Bear, What will you wear, ?" this week. We did the B Book Had some cutting practice. Made a "schedule" of Wee Bro's day, just like Jesse Bear. The laundry line alphabet was quite fun. We love the Duolingo App.

This week was a short week because of Thanksgiving but we still had some fun! HISTORY We learnt about Ben Franklin We tried being a compositor like Ben Franklin. It didn't work very well, but it was really fun to figure out the mirror image of printing. The girls made quotes from Ben Franklin. Wee Bro can spell some words. This is one of his favorite. =) The girls read on their own. We also read this book as a read-a loud We did a fun experiment on electric charges. We also researched on Patrick Henry SCIENCE We learnt about seed disposal And fruit types 9th GRADE Big Sis learnt about Italy and made a delicious Spaghetti Lemony Cabonara for us. PREPPER We continued on with rowing ABC Bunny And we had alphabet soup! (using the alphabet pasta from the art above) Stick the alphabet His favorite Sesame Street Alphabet Workbooks On the fun side, we went out for a walk and saw the tree pruners at work.
