 HISTORY We learnt about the troubles and dissatisfaction in the colonies. We did a few fun projects. The Pie of intolerable acts. The taxation game. Basically we pick a card that shows the tax and another card to see if the tax is as is, double, or triple. The money went down fast. It was fun to see the currency during the colonial period. The tea act and the Boston Tea Party This is a fun map that we will continue to use when we talk about the other events. The girls did a digital newspaper. We are reading aloud "Meet Felicity". And the girls read the accompanying book. For Science last week we learnt about the pollinators and this week we learnt about fruits. 9th GRADE Big Sis continued to learn about Scandinavia, so we made the Hasselback Potatoes . Yum!  HISTORY For week 12 we listened to SOTW for the chapters on India, Japan and China. For week 13, we began the Homeschool in the Woods American Revolution Unit study . I'm so excited! The girls did a newspaper article on the French and Indian War. We studied the French and Indian War, George Washington, and George III. This lapbook component was fun! It was interesting to learn about the government during the colonial times. For Science co-op we learnt about pollinators and did a fun pollinating activity. 9th Grade Big Sis made a Nordic star for her studies on the Scandinavian countries. And she made Quiche Lorraine for France. She did some fun and exciting experiments for Chemistry this week. 11th GRADE Big Bro turned 16 this week. In a blink of an eye.
