2021-2022 Week 21

We wrapped up the American Revolution Unit! It was a blast. I really liked using Homeschool in the Woods pack to teach this unit. This was the battle page. Though I don't think the girls will remember all the battles, this visual guide is interesting. This is the timeline they did. We played a review file folder game. I was so surprised at how much they remembered! LOVE the lapbooks done. We are going into the 19th Century next, all the way to 1850. One thing we will do is the states study. Lil Sis chose to do it on paper.   And Baby sis did it digitally. And they made an Amish casserole for PA. YUMMY 9th GRADE Big Sis made Shashuka for Middle East. Yum! And for Science we learnt about mammals.

2021-2022 Week 19

We went through many battles this week. I mean, historical revolutionary battles. Some of them we skimmed through, some of them we watched videos for them. And we talked about Valley Forge, watched a video, and wrote articles on them. I realized that my children are definitely more open to writing if they can type (and do edits) We researched on Baron Von Steuben and John Adams. For Science we finished up Botany with the co-op and will go on to Zoology next week. The girls are excited. Big Sis did some experiment on Chemistry and continued to learn more about Transcarucasia (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan) She finished Family Romonov.
