Guest post by Big Bro Bible This week we revised James  1-3:3 and memorized 3:4-7 History We learnt about Captain Cook and the French Revolution For state study, we learnt about Massachusetts, Georgia and Connecticut.  We made Quiche Lorraine because of the French Revolution Study. We also found these books in the Elmhurst Library. Language We continued with Spelling power and Rod and Staff. Science This week we learnt about  Amphibians Reptiles Art We are using Artistic Pursuits K-3 (Book 2) this year. For art, we did light pastel over dark background. Bible This week we revised James 2, and went on to 3:1-3 We sang Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing. History We learnt about the days after the Peace Treaty was signed. The "what's next?" part was actually interesting! We also learnt about George Washington. This is an interesting book for this section. We also started the state study. Language We continued with Spelling power and Rod and Staff. Science This week we learnt about fish. We did the archerfish activity which was quite fun. My mom bought the kids this boardgame for Christmas. Just right for this year as we study the American History! It. is. so. fun!!!!!!! Really enjoyed it. Even our 7 year old played with much fun and strategy. I don't think it was too hard to play. It is also not too un-challenging. 5 stars!
