We moved away from the American Revolution and go on to 1850.
We are using Homeschool in the Woods Early19th Century Pack and other readings suggested by MFW Exploration to 1850, trying to piece them by time line.
At the same time, we will do 2 to 3 states research every week, and 1 to 2 presidents every week. The plan is to finish 25 states this year, and 12 presidents.
President Study:
HISTORY
We talked about James Cook, and also the French Revolution in terms of chronological importance.
The girls listened to Story of the World and did google quizzes I made for them.
State Study:
We studied New Jersey, Georgia, and Connecticut this week.
This is an example.
We made NJ Italian subs
And this is a read aloud we are doing these two weeks, based on Georgia, and it's very interesting!
SCIENCE:
These are Lil' Sis' worksheets this week. We are learning about mammals.
9th GRADE
She learnt about the Middle East last week, so the parents had to "sacrifice" and ate some delicious Lebanese food. Shawarma and falafel. All for the sake of education.
Big Sis made the most delicious Chicken Tikka Masala from scratch. So proud of her.
