We learnt about how levers might have been used to help in the hard work of building pyramids.
The kids had a lot of fun looking at around and inside Pharaoh Khufu's Great Pyramid

Kindergarten: L-l Leaf
Homeschooling Ideas
Our schedule has changed this year. Maybe there were more things to be done, or I have more kids in school, so the morning is not enough for school now. So here's how our day usually looks like now
7:30am Breakfast with Daddy, Facetime with grannies
8:00am Pick up and start school
(Until the weather gets cold, we will still do 10:30am playground time)
11:00am Lunch prep
11:30am Lunch
12:00am Littlest(and Mommy) naptime, Quiet Time (self work) for older ones)
2:00pm Clean up
2:30pm Video time
3:00pm Science/Art/Readaloud (or whatever things that are not finished for school)
3:30pm Play time!
4:30pm Dinner prep
5:00pm Bathtime for older kids
5:45pm Daddy's Home! Dinner Time

On a side note, we got our compliance letters for our IHIP, two students this year. Though I know I need no affirmation from anyone other than God that I can and should homeschool my children, I still do not take the freedom and right to homeschool for granted. I am grateful for smooth process with the authorities.
L-l cards
Sesame Street Podcasts are one of our favorites!
We read/watched Caps for Sale and did the lapbook
And we designed a cap
We went leaf picking!
And used them to do leaf rubbing.
"Texture" letter writing (Tempura paint in ziploc)
Identifying leaves using this worksheet and google
Cuisenaire rods
Math Page
We picked that "naughty" (according to my girls) leaf who did not want to stay on the tree.
Only one day has passed and it was in this state.
Eventually the leaf was quite dried up by Day 5.
L Book
This is my girl's FAVORITE ipad app and for every unit I asked her to watch the corresponding ones. They teach kids to make cute, fun foods (according to the letters!) We got it for free, now it's $2.99
And we read books on leaf
