We looked at pictures and videos of the Forbidden City of Ming Dynasty online.

We continued to read Dangerous Journey. We really like this book!

LANGUAGE
The older kids continued on Rod and Staff English.

Lil Sis worked on her phonics, bible books and bible notebook. She finished her workbook and now we will do bible reading, bible notebook and reading everyday.
Reading from Frog and Toad

I used the erasing method for her to memorize the verse

We are two days from 100th day!! (actually we have passed 100th day sometime back, but Lil Sis does not do her calendar everyday)

The older two continued on  Lesson 8 åº·è»’一下 for Mandarin Chinese and Lil Sis did practice on bopomofo

We learnt two more Latin words "trans" and "dormio" this week.
We did Spelling Power. Daddy played "spelling bee" with the kids in the weekend and was very impressed with them!

Big Sis is reading the Boxcar Children series now and Big Bro enjoyed some of the books in the book basket.

We continued to practice Math.

We learnt about Venus this week. This is "lava" flowing from the volcanoes.

The "lava" hardened into rocks.

They created comics. It was fun to see.

LOVE their summary pages.

We used the Seymour Books for teaching planets. They have wonderful pictures

ART

We drew the Florentine Towers

When they spent time in their work, they are very proud of the results.

Online Resources: Sesame Street Games

I love the Sesame Street Games ...I think they are the best for preschoolers. They teach important concepts, at the same time, making computer skills real easy. For eg, there is no "click and drag"...that's hard for them...there's "click" "move" "click". There are some games Ian really likes...(click on photo for the games) That's the Wheels on the Bus song (you press the keys foe interactive movements) Patterns. Seasons. Fun for the kids. Walking the dogs...numbers. This is alltime favorite. First you make a pitcher of lemonade. Then depending on how many monsters come, you click however many cups. I love it!
