2021-2022 Week 11

HISTORY We learnt about Peter the Great and we did an IEW paragraph on him. We also learnt about the Ottoman Turks And India. We did a drawing of Taj Mahal and learnt about symmetry but drawing the reflection. We finished Amos Fortune. These were notebook pages Baby Sis caught up with for Botany We played some review games for Chinese. We also tried to do some experiments on dew point but failed. PREPPER I got the Richard Scarry Book for Wee Bro. This is one of our FAVORITE preschooler books. 9th GRADE Big Sis learnt about Western Europe (+ Ireland that she didn't finish last week) So she made shepherd's pie (she thinks it's more like shepherd's stew) and we got Irish Cream soda from Lidl (meh) OTHER THINGS Baby Sis finished her antibiotics (for some lymph node infection) yay! 2021-2022 Week 10

  HISTORY This week we did a little of Homeschool in the Woods( American Revolution ) just to start off. We will use this curriculum in Week 13 on. Timeline Lapbook component We also finished up Georgia as the last 13 colonies. And we listened to a few SOTW chapters. We also continued to read Amos Fortune. Poor Baby Sis was sick this week so she had a couple days just "listening in". Foreign Language We are doing some review games this and next week. BOTANY This was a review crossword Baby Sis did last week. We did a flower dissection this week. I prepared this for the girls. This was the notebook page. For Earth Science, Lil Sis tried a humidity experiment that didn't quite work. 9TH GRADE Big Sis learnt about the British Isles She made DELICIOUS lemon tea cookies and chocolate pudding pie, and I made Scottish shortbread, so we had tea. =) 11th GRADE Big Bro did another SAT full test and he improved by a fair bit!

2021-2022 Week 9

  HISTORY We learnt about William Penn's Holy Experiment, and the Delaware colony and made pages on them. We continued reading Amos Fortune and did the Matthew bible study as well. SCIENCE We learnt about seeds and planted one. It was fun looking at the parts of seeds with our friends in co-op. This is the leaf classification page that Baby Sis did. This is another page Baby Sis did. Transpiration Experiment. Very slow since it's at home, it's dry and getting cold. Lil Sis learnt about water and the aquifer for Earth Science and made an edible aquifer. Yum. 9th GRADE Big Sis learnt about the South America. For chemistry she is learning about the polarity of water. This experiment requires thumb tacks. I used screws instead. Didn't know why after awhile we have the yellow flakes... PREPPER He LOVES numbers and kept asking about when we are going on vacation, so I let him write this calendar. OTHER HAPPENINGS Baby Sis' birthday celebration last week. Also it was my da
