MFW CtG/K Week 16: O-o Octopus, After Tabernacle to Moses' death

4th/2nd Grade Creation to the Greeks Psalms 23 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures He leads me beside still waters. Bible/History Read many times Psalms 23, dictated verses 1-2 We talked about Moses' lack of faith in God, thus leading to him not being able to enter the promiseland, his death and also the rise of Joshua. We also learnt about the immigration of the first North/South Americans We finished with the Advent Reading. This year we are following this  materials  and learning about the names of Jesus. And we celebrated Christmas, the birth of our Lord Jesus! Math/Science We skipped this week's Science because the concept of "equilibrium" is a little too difficult to my kids (I presumed) Language Rod and Staff  Spelling Power for Big Bro Spelling by Sight and Structure for Big Sis Cursive for Big Sis. I get the worksheets  here I am so happy to have found this book. I

4th/2nd Grade Creation to the Greeks Ten Commandments: I am the LORD your God...you shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an idol. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy Honor your father and your mother You shall not murder You shall not commit adultery You shall not steal You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor You shall not covet your neighbor's house...or anything that is your neighbor's Bible/History Discussed and memorized the 10th commandment We did the tabernacle model Watched a fun video of memorizing the 10th commandment Making curtains for the courtyard Most Holy of holies Curtain Holy Place Wash basin Altar for offering Couryard We used the printables here and I really like them! We also continued with the Advent Reading. This year we are following this  materials  and learning about the names of Jesu

4th/2nd Grade Creation to the Greeks Ten Commandments: I am the LORD your God...you shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an idol. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy Honor your father and your mother You shall not murder You shall not commit adultery You shall not steal You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor Bible/History Discussed and memorized the 9th commandment We read on the accounts of how God rescued the Israelites across the red sea and how He gave them the ten commandments We also started the Advent Reading. This year we are following this materials and learning about the names of Jesus. It is very meaningful to me. Math/Science Soil and Rocks We learnt about soil, what it is made up of and also rocks in soil Language Rod and Staff  Spelling Power for Big Bro Spelling by Sight and Structure for Big Sis
