2020-2021 Rome to Reformation Week 10

 We had another week of break. Many things happened in that week. We did a small hike at Rockefeller State Park Preserve (very nice small place)  There is a budding photographer in our family. Taking artistic shots. =) And then after many many failures, the determined child won. She is my fourth success in learning to ride without training wheels. It was quite a day. We rejoiced and celebrated with her. Last Saturday we watched Sight and Sound Theater's "Queen Esther". Very proud of this quality production. Also, during the break week, we (either hubby or I) had the chance to bring the kids out for dates (outdoor dining for us). We haven't done that for a while and it was good to spend some time with them individually. As part of the career exploration for Big Bro, I asked him to do a personality test . I did it myself too. 2020-2021 Rome to Reformation Week 8

 We had another break week last week and here are some highlights of our week. In our "touring the boroughs" project, we visited the Bronx, and this is the Verrazano Bridge. I love the bridges in NYC. HAD to show the girls the aqueduct-turned-walkway, High Bridge , NYC, along the way. In case you are a history buff, and since we are learning about the Romans...here's the history of the high bridge. We take walks around our neighborhood regularly in this pandemic. Mostly Wee Bro and I. However, on Sundays, I love the walks with the whole family. Thank God we have such a luxury in the city! My friend recommended me this book and I'm learning a lot! I got my 150 day streak in duolingo (espanol)!
