BIBLE We reviewed Philippians 2:2-16 HISTORY We learnt about William Shakespeare and the North American Native Americans Found this easy to read book in the library. The Globe Theatre before Big Sis colored it. We found a FUN book to listen to! For the Star Wars Fan, it is very fun. We borrowed the audiobook and found it more interesting than reading the book. Big Bro happened to find a REALLY cool stick when we played downstairs. Just in time for our arrow experiment this week! We found the "arrow" with paper attached did fly better! BIBLE We memorized Philippians 2:5-9 We started reading Philippians For Lil Sis, we read about man on the mat, apostles, farmer and the seeds. HISTORY We learnt about the Ottoman Turks, Ferdinand and Isabella, and Henry the Navigator Since there are no more read alouds for the year, I started reading " Still More Stories from Grandma's Attic " to the kids. They really like the books. I got the book for free on Amazon Kindle. LANGUAGE The older kids continued on Rod and Staff English. Lil Sis worked on her bible story reading  and bible notebook.  The older two did revisions on Lesson 5-8  康軒一下  for Mandarin Chinese and Lil Sis did practice on bopomofo We learnt two more Latin words "luna" and "inter" this week.  I found an interesting game for Lil Sis to practice her sight words. BIBLE We celebrated 100th Day this week!! So fun! We memorized Philippians 2:5-8  We finished reading the gospel of Luke and the life of Jesus. For Lil Sis, we read about birth of Jesus, Jesus as a boy, Jesus being baptized, and the fishermen story Lil Sis is reading the Reader really well, but needs some prompting for some more difficult words. HISTORY We learnt about the Black Death, Renaissance, Henry V, and Joan of Arc. We finished Dangerous Journey. I LOVE THIS BOOK!!! LANGUAGE The older kids continued on Rod and Staff English. BIBLE We memorized Philippians 2:5-8 and reviewed the Romans 12 verses on Fighter's Verses App. Lil Sis memorized Prov 12:16 We continued to read on Luke and the life of Jesus. For Lil Sis, we read about Daniel, Esther and the story of Angel talking to Mary This angel "craft was taken from here . We watched the Esther's story on Lego. HISTORY We learnt about the Monguls, Russians and Marco Polo. We looked at pictures and videos of the Forbidden City of Ming Dynasty online. We continued to read Dangerous Journey. We really like this book! LANGUAGE The older kids continued on Rod and Staff English. Lil Sis worked on her phonics, bible books and bible notebook. She finished her workbook and now we will do bible reading, bible notebook and reading everyday.
