MFW Exploration to 1850 WEEK 15: Seven Year War, Mammals

This week we memorized 2:13-17
And then I realized we need much revision. So we stopped memorizing new verses and will use two weeks to revise the past verses.
We use the fighterverse app for revision. It is very good!

We learnt about George Washington and the seven year war.
The seven year war was very confusing. We watched one interesting video about it but I think we need more reading about it.

And we FOUND our book! =) So we continued reading Madeleine. We will finish next week.

We continued with Spelling power and Rod and Staff.

This week we learnt about mammals.

Lil Sis reads the Complete Book of Science.

I asked the kids to make pages of mammals they would be interested in or they are unfamiliar with. Big Sis HAD to do one on bunnies since they are her favorite.

Then she read up on hyraxes.

This is Lil Sis' page.

Big Bro made pages on the fox, cougar, and the horse.
They LOVE making the Science pages.

We are using Artistic Pursuits K-3 (Book 2) this year.

We made paintings of "Cool colors" this week.

MFW Exploration to 1850 WEEK 14: China, Ben Franklin, Mammals

This week we revised Bible memory James 2:1-12
And we memorized James 2:13-16
But I think we need quite a bit of revision, esp we adults.

We learnt about China, George Washington times, and Benjamin Franklin
Chinese verse for James 1:22. The kids found it fun.

And we LOST our book!!! So we stopped for the week.

We continued with Spelling power and Rod and Staff.

My absolutely delightful, self-governing girl, Big Sis. =)

This week we learnt about vertebrates, and a little about mammals.
Backbone model

We started using some pages from Complete Book of Science for Lil Sis.

We are using Artistic Pursuits K-3 (Book 2) this year.

We took a break from art this week.
