Bible

 Copywork really helps in penmanship.

Love how she looks at life. This is a note she wrote to her little sis.

Did the Greek Alphabet sheet. She loved it.

Day 1: light
Day 2: Sky

We started reading the Bible Reader and the bible notebook (doing my own this year).

Math

Big sis has been very good in Math since K, these addition/subtraction are almost revision for her but it is good for her hone in her skills, I feel.

Started the coin part of the daily calendar. She really enjoys that.

More addition practice

She sure doesn't do Math the conventional way. I have NO IDEA what she is chanting. But she's supposed to roll dice and add, color the right number square

Language

Learnt or, ir, er ur (and also "or" sounding like "er"), aw/al and other letters that make the short vowel u sound, and also the igh, the y (for long vowel i)

She wrote a letter to her best friend. I think she did a wonderful job!!

Learnt the Chinese soundsㄞ and made more revision worksheets

Science
Learnt about the rivers, beach and waves.
The little one did the Beach preschool pack.

And it was fun that we went to the beach couple weeks back and we talked about the waves and the beach.

Also did many projects with ECC.

Online Resources: Sesame Street Games

I love the Sesame Street Games ...I think they are the best for preschoolers. They teach important concepts, at the same time, making computer skills real easy. For eg, there is no "click and drag"...that's hard for them...there's "click" "move" "click". There are some games Ian really likes...(click on photo for the games) That's the Wheels on the Bus song (you press the keys foe interactive movements) Patterns. Seasons. Fun for the kids. Walking the dogs...numbers. This is alltime favorite. First you make a pitcher of lemonade. Then depending on how many monsters come, you click however many cups. I love it!

I did do most of the cutting though. We also enjoyed the different videos we watched and the experiments. I think this is the most successful science year yet.
